This is the presentation I used for my STS G1 tutorial oral presentation. The presentation was aimed at teaching year 8 or 9 chemistry students about ionic compounds using a technique called Explore then Explain. During a three minute exercise students were given large colour coded cardboard cut outs that represented ions from which they had to make ionic compounds. I have also made the lesson plan available on this blog post for anyone who may want to use it.
